User interface design
User interface design is the design of appliances, computers, machines, mobile communication devices, software applications, and websites with the focus on user’s experience and interaction. The aim of user interface design is to make the user's interaction experience as simple and perceptive with the help of interaction designs. User Interface design usually specializes in projects requiring skill and knowledge, whether it is web design, software design or industrial design. The focus is on how the user interacts with the system (device/website/application).
Processes
- Making a list of functionality required of the system to accomplish the goals of the project and the possible requirements of the users.
- Analyzing the potential users of the system, by conferencing with them or with people who work with the users.
- Building the process/information flow of the system.
- Developing of plans either in the form of paper prototypes or simple interactive screens.
Testing of the prototypes on an actual user.
- Making a Graphic Interface design, with the actual design of the final Graphical User Interface.
